my views on the questions raised during the polytechnic forum

recently (the date is nt important here as i think peeps will care more abt the content than the date), there is the 10th polytechnic forum held in ngee ann poly, where students get to voice out their qns ranging from transport fares and sch fees to community work, to the guest-of-honor, a minister of spore, who i shall not name in case i kana sue for the things i am goin to say.

the news focus on 2 qns commonly raised by poly students and peeps, which i wanted to comment (no offence).

1st question: why is poly's sch fees higher than that of jc's?

i think this qn is raised by a poly student as it was a poly forum so most probably it was raised by a poly student and it is 'a' poly student bcuz i think no one will be so cum gong (foolish) to ask the same qn again on the same forum, which will show the person is not listening (when he/she raised the qn again, every1 will luff at him/her which will be extremely sia suay). so, it should be one student. why am i focusing so much on tat particular student?!? it is because of the stupidity of his (i think is a he as the news show his face when the news report the qn) question and i dun1 offend other students who oso voiced out their qns.

as a poly student, he should jolly well noe why poly's sch fees are higher. if it is outsider i can understand, but he is a poly student. his qn is lyk asking why primary sch's sch fees is cheaper than jc's. i think as a poly student, he/she would noe why the fees are more expensive. reason is tat we are goin to get a diploma upon graduation and jcs students are getting an 'a' lvl cert. a diploma is of a higher standard than 'a' lvl cert. tatz a fact, i am not boasting or whatsoever. since diploma is of higher standard, of cuz the sch fees are more expensive lah. tat guy go poly for so long liao still duno, nxt time got war he surely the last to noe.

2nd question: why is poly student's transport fare the same as adult's and not the same as jc student's?

actually, i always wanted to noe the ans to this qn. the he-who-shall-not-be-named guest-of-honor said because someone (refering to jc students) paid less for their transport so someone (refering to poly students) have to pay more. i thinking: what the fuck?!? kan ni na lah!!! if all the students go poly how?!? u goin to lower the adult transport fares meh?!? according to wad u said, since everyone pay more liao, the transport fares should lower leh!!! i think no needa say the ans, peeps oso will noe the ans - transport fee will nv ever decrease. since when did we noe transport fee has decreased before?!? and why muz poly students pay more?!? why not jc students since their sch fees are lower mah?!? our sch fees already very ex liao still want us to pay more for our transport fee. knn lah!!!

i think the best and fair solution is tat poly and jc students pay the same transport fee. the greedy translink aren't goin to kui ben (lose money), they goin to earn less profit tatz all. curse them!!!

    day at sembawang

it has been 1 week since i last blogged... i wasnt busy juz for ur information... i hope i can be busy too, but i am not... i am wondering wad i have been doing for the past few days too... let's recall wad i have been doin...

i completed medal of honor: allied assault. the game is set during world war II, it chronicles the fictional exploits of Lt. Mike Powell (main character) as he battles his way from the shores of Africa to the shores of France to the heart of Nazi Germany. the game type is lyk counter-strike except it has missions.

i watched tales of two sisters, ju-on and ju-on 2 too... in tales of two sisters, there isnt much scary scenes and the plot is confusing. i dun really enjoy ju-on and ju-on 2 as there isnt explaination of the cause of the death of the victims and wad happen to them... the best horror moive i watched so far i will say is 'wishing stairs'. almost every scene kept me in suspene, wondering when the scary part will cum out...

k... let's tok abt 2day... it's finally friday which means i can finally go out wif valerie le (cuz she is having her promos and it only ended 2day). i met her at amk mrt and i was late, but it is alrite... haha... we went to sembawang mrt station's card replacement office as she needa make her ez-link card as she has lost it. the waiting time is only abt 25mins and there's fast. during the interval, we went to the food court in sun plaza to have her lunch.

she ate chicken rice and i ate nth cuz i ate char siew rice earlier at home le. after tat, she said she wanted to eat mango for dessert so i went to buy. i was 2nd in queue. while queuing, i took a look at the menu on top of the shop and i scan for the keyword mango. search results 1: mango ice, $2.50. it is my turn liao and i order mango ice. after 2 sec or so, the auntie who was queuing infront of me came back wif her dessert. she said she ordered soursop ice... i was thinking: yar?!? so wad u order soursop ice?!? u expect a frozen soursop?!? (the last part is added ltr by me when i am writing this entry) den the dessert seller auntie took back the customer auntie's dessert and open the freezer and took out a frozen soursop and pass back to tat customer. the customer auntie is delighted tat finally she gt her 'soursop ice' and left wif a big smile. i was thinking is my mango ice really lyk hers?!? as in forzen mango... anyway... i was juz toking crap.

yes... the customer auntie did order soursop ice. the dessert seller auntie took back the customer auntie's dessert, dig some ice frm her dessert and place soursop into it. conclusion: the dessert seller auntie had forgotten to put the most important ingredient (soursop) into the dessert. so i watched closely as the dessert auntie is preparing my mango ice juz in case the same thing (nt the scenario tat she gif me a frozen mango, but the scenario tat she forgot to gif me the mangoes) happen to me. i went to another corner of the shop to observe the preparation of my mango ice. i browse the menu on top of this corner of the shop and i found another match for my mango dessert, which made my search results 2. the new search result is 'mango pudding party', $2.00... funny name though... does tat mean tat the dessert seller auntie asked the mangoes to go party b4 cuming back and get slaughter and make into 'mango pudding party'?!? the picture description of this dessert is actually mangoes cut into cubes and serve in cocktail cups. juz to add... it is nt a picture tat describe the preparation of mango ice where u cut the mangoes into cubes and served in cocktail cups k... the pic juz show a cocktail cup containing 'mango cubes'. when she said i can collect my dessert, i refuse to blif tatz my mango ice as i barely see any mangoes... arghhh...

i brought the 'few mango' ice back to our table and valerie exclaimed.

"wat is this?!?" asked curious valerie.

    "mango ice," replied me.

"when i came here and eat, my dad oso order a mango dessert, but it doesnt look lyk this and it has more mangoes" said valerie.

after wad she said, it made me feel tat i have been cheated, but i wasnt as the auntie din psycho me to buy it, she juz asked me wad i wanted. i should have told her i wanted a dessert wif lots of mangoes.

i order 'mango ice', wif few mangoes, for $2.50, which i can order 'mango pudding party', wif more mangoes as told by valerie, for only $2. i felt i was cheated because as mention earlier, i wanted a dessert wif lots of mangoes. to console myself for not being cheated, i said to valerie, "this mango ice got ice, i doubt mango pudding party has ice!!!"

"mango pudding party oso have ice too," said valerie.

moral of the story: when u wanted to buy something, tell the ppl selling the food or things wad u wanted specifically.
